In our Minnesota connection-obsessed local media, I’ve seen very little on Lindsey Vonn, a world cup skiing champion who is a young, hot Olympic favorite. Actually, it’s like people here don’t know who she is, even though she grew up in Apple Valley. Why is this? Is it because everyone was too obsessed with the Vikings to focus on a young woman who has been winning races for years?
Don’t worry, Minnesota media: the New York Times is featuring Ms. Vonn this week with a very personal profile, so you don’t have to worry about Lindsey Vonn anymore.
