Cottonwood is relatively new to me. A map tells me that they have cottonwood trees in South Carolina, but I don’t remember them, so I think that this is the only place I have lived with the problem of cottonwood.
When I run into a swarm of cottonwood seeds, I try my hardest not to turn into a kitten and swat them away. I find them extremely gross. They are the number one reason for Why I Hate Trees on the Beach. Eew eew eew. Every single picture of cottonwood seeds is described “Like summer snow!” Eew eew eew.
Go away, cottonwood.
