twincitiesrunoff:

A lot of times, young people say they don’t know where else to shop, or have tried a couple of discount furniture stores that were still way over budget and scared away anyone with an entry-level salary and massive student loans. Some of us avoid furniture stores entirely because they just look expensive.

With the mind of the Twin Cities Runoff crew, I compiled some of my favorite furniture spots in the Twin Cities. In the course of researching this story, I think I decided that one day, reupholstering furniture will be a thing that I do on occasion.
At some point, I hope to get all of the Ikea stuff out of my house and replace it with much nicer things. It’s way easier than I thought it would be (although still way beyond my budget at the moment).
In the meantime, read the article.
